Hi All, I am not against having a retirement village in the hills. I am against it being in a isolated spot, on a narrow winding dead end road, with no public transport or access to, no access to shopping facilities, no ambulance/medical facilities, no rubbish pick up, no postal deliveries. Many of these are actual legislative requirements for a retirement village, which the council appears to be willing to approve regardless. If the developers get this one, then it will open the floodgates for high density development throughout the Mundaring Shire. This will come about , in my view, as they will not be able to get enough people to fill it and make it financially viable due to it's remoteness and lack of support facilities. It would then be broken up and sold for general housing.
