A tour of 53 important places in the life of history's most celebrated magician, Harry Houdini, born Ehrich Weiss on March 24, 1874, in Budapest, Hungary. He was four years old when his family, headed by Rabbi Mayer Samuel Weiss, moved to Appleton, Wisconsin, and there this story begins.

Please note that this collection does not stick to chronological order. The placemarks are split into two folders, one for North America and another for everywhere else that Houdini travelled. Not included on the tour are the places that featured in young Ehrich's early struggles for recognition. For that information and much more, visit my website Houdini Reappears and the following sites:

John Cox's Houdini Lives! site is great for Houdini news (there's plenty) and has a fine collection of photos
Stephen Sparks' Gran Houdini site has a huge collection of memorabilia for sale, but you can view everything for free
Bob King's Houdini Tribute site has lots of little-known facts and sells items from the Rochester, NY-based Houdini family
